Executive Coaching
What is Executive Coaching?
Executive Coaching should be used as a learning and development tool for Senior Executives, CEO’s, Entrepreneurs and Leaders. Coaching can assist the individual in becoming more authentic making them better able to inspire, influence and motivate. It can raise self-awareness and confidence, identify hinderances to success, improve communication skills and improve overall emotional intelligence. This in turn gives the business an advantage in an increasingly competitive global business climate.
Executive Coaching will not provide a magic wand for a failing organization. Coaching should be incorporated into forward-thinking businesses who understand the importance of investing in the individuals responsible for leading and creating the company’s culture and strategic initiatives.
It’s Lonely at the Top
Hiring an Executive Coach is not for the weak. The client-guided sessions are opportunities for busy executives to build personal awareness in a safe environment where they can challenge their beliefs about the world. The professional coach acts as a sounding board, partner and catalyst for change. The sessions provide on-going accountability toward development of the client’s desired goals.
Measuring Results
Coaching results benefit not only the individual, but the organization as a whole. Coaching results are qualitative in nature. Organizations who offer coaching resources to staff state improvements meeting objectives and overall staff satisfaction.
Importance of Coaching In Native Organizations
Tribal organizations are not typical businesses. They are large family businesses with unique politics, reporting structures and opportunities. Too often Tribal organizations fail to include leadership and tribal member development as part of the strategic business strategy.
For the long-term success of the organization and to fulfill the Tribes interest in the realization of sovereignty it is critical that resources and programs are instituted to place Tribal membership in management roles. Developing individualized Professional Performance Plans combined with coaching offers Tribes a path for realizing that goal.
Coaching Is Not Therapy
Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders and is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment. Coaching is self-guided allowing the client to develop a sense of personal awareness as a professional and person.
My Coaching Philosophy
By combining self-guided coaching techniques and strategic business strategies I help my clients uncover roadblocks to success and hidden talents allowing them to fulfill their desired potential. Our effectiveness as a leader can either inspire others or do damage.
I believe when we are fortunate enough to hold leadership positions we have a responsibility to inspire and challenge each other to reach our maximum personal potential.
Leaders spend a great deal of time focusing on external problems or opportunities, but rarely give themselves a space to evaluate their personal motivation or management style. I work with those interested in doing the work to achieve their desired potential.
